ALIG visits two of our charities on a regular basis. We visit Tunasan Drop-in Center every Thursday. We leave the village around 1:00 PM and spend about an hour and a half doing an activity or craft with the children. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to Tunasan.
We also visit Marillac Hills which is a home for girls. We visit every other Monday and our next visit is scheduled for Monday, August 24th. We leave the village around 1:15 PM and spend about an hour and a half doing an activity or craft with the girls. Marillac Hills is located on Zapote Road behind the Caltex station.
If you are interested in visiting one of the charities, please contact Dina Hourihan (Tunasan) or Sheri Baghaie (Marillac) at their mobile numbers. We usually have two vehicles going to both locations so transportation is available.

I am continuing to collect pop and beer cans for Little Sisters. The cans are used in a livelihood project making jeepneys, pedicabs and Christmas ornaments. The cans cannot be smashed. If you would like to donate cans, please drop at my home in Alabang Village.
Feel free to order the jeepneys and pedicabs with me, I wil make sure Little Sisters gets the order.
I received a note from Sister Margaret asking me to thank all the members for all their donations!
Thank you, Ronda Trower

Every fridaymorning, ALIG members can enjoy exchanging recipes.
Want to join one of these cooking sessions? Lessons are free of charge; in exchange we will ask you to kindly host one of the sessions in your home (it usually ends up being twice a year, unless you volunteer more often, which would be fantastic!).
You can attend every session, or you can just come from time to time.
You don't have to be a great cook to join us, we welcome all levels of culinary advancement. You can cook original dishes, typical to your country, your favorite family recipes or even dishes you have learned from a friend or from a TV show, but we ask to use ingredients and spices available to purchase in shops around Manila.
The cooking sessions are every Friday morning from 10 AM to 12 AM, in Alabang, Fort Bonifacio or Makati.
If you need any further information please contact Eva Woodruff or Willy Nagtegaal.

Are you interested in spending a fun evening with friends? Then Bunko is for you!
Bunko is a dice game that we use an excuse to get together once a month. The rules are simple: the first is throw the dice, while talking to friends, the second is count your points while talking with friends, the third is record your score while talking with friends. Where else can you win a prize for having the most losses?
We meet on Thursday at a player’s home (rotate). Players take turns providing snacks. If this is something that you think you might enjoy please join us.
